Hanson <br />As you know, the City Council has selected two development groups for further <br />consideration in helping us to implement our Rice Street/Little Canada Road <br />redevelopment objectives. The next step in the selection process is to compare the <br />aspirations and capabilities of each group. Therefore, the City would like to request that <br />you provide answers to the following questions. These answers will be evaluated to <br />judge the ability of the group to meet the City's development objectives within the <br />capacity of available financial resources. The development groups are asked to submit <br />responses to these questions by March 21s`. <br />1. What is the group's concept for the development of the area? <br />• Parcels to be developed. <br />• Timing of development. <br />• Intensity, form, use, and property values of development. <br />• Role of City and amount of economic assistance. <br />2. Will other development partners be needed? <br />3. Does the group have the financial capacity to undertake the development concept? <br />The above information will be presented to the City Council at a workshop in early April. <br />Staff' and consultants will make the presentation. Developers will not attend this meeting. <br />The purpose of the meeting will be to determine the questions and issues to be resolved <br />before making a selection. <br />The final step in the selection process is a Council workshop tentatively scheduled for <br />April 23`d. At this meeting we will be seeking a presentation of the concept you are <br />proposing with sufficient detail to allow us to make a decision. The outcome of this <br />Page 2 <br />
