MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
MAY 8, 1997
CONDITIONAL
USE PERMIT
TO MOVE A
HOUSE —
141 YORKTON
RIDGE
frontage regardless of which way the house faces. Therefore, Greenbrier
Street is considered to be the front yard for this particular house.
Mr. Montour recommended approval of the Jim Boss property division for
749 LaBore Road as presented subject to compliance with the
recommendations of the City Planner as contained in his report dated May
5, 1997.
Motion seconded by Keis.
Motion carried 5 — 0.
Mr. Joe Pajari appeared before the Commission requested approval of a
Conditional Use Permit to relocate a house onto the lot at 141 Yorkton
Ridge. Mr. Pajari described the home indicating that it was similar in
size to most of the homes in the neighborhood. The home is currently
a two - bedroom home with a tuck -under garage. Pajari reported that he
is planning to finish the lower level of the home, converting garage space
into livable space. The result will be a 5- bedroom home with a two or
three car garage attached to the front of the house. There is currently
masonite siding on the house, similar to houses on Yorkton Ridge. Pajari
reported that he is considering adding a brick wainscoting to the exterior
of the house. The existing deck will be replaced with a new ten by ten
deck. Once completed, the house will consist of 2,000 square feet of
finished space. Pajari reported that he does not plan to live in the house,
but will sell it.
Schletty expressed concern that Pajari seemed unsure of exactly what
types of improvements he would be making to the house, and asked for a
more definitive explanation.
Pajari replied that initially he planned to add a two -car garage to the
house, but has learned that a house with a three -car garage is more
saleable.
Keis asked if the minimum that would be done would be a two -car garage
and brick wainscoting on the front of the house.
Pajari replied that that was correct.
Jim Leis, 110 Yorkton Ridge, pointed out that when someone applied for a
building permit to construct a new home, they must provide all the details
of what they are planning to do. Leis felt the details were lacking in this
application. Leis also felt that moving this house into the Yorkton Ridge
2
