6 -18 -1997 2:32PM FROM SWEENEY BORER OSTROW 223 5289 <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />ORDINANCE NO, <br />P.4 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 202.030 <br />OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />LITTLE CANADA, RELATING TO VACANCIES <br />DURING THE TERM OF OFFICE OF A MEMBER <br />OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE CANADA HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. <br />Section 202.030 of the Municipal Code of the City of Little <br />Canada is hereby amended to read as follows; <br />202.030. TERM OF OFFICE AND VACANCIES. Each member shall be <br />appointed by the Council and shall hold office until his /her <br />successor is appointed and qualified. The term of such office <br />shall be at the discretion of the City Council. <br />In case of a vacancy during the term of office of any member <br />of the Commission, the City Council shall appoint a new member to <br />serve the remainder of the term. A vacancy shall exist if any of <br />the following occur: death; residence outside of the City; <br />resignation; and disability or failure to serve. A failure to <br />serve shall be deemed to exist if any member is absent from three <br />consecutive meetings or is absent from four meetings in a <br />calendar year. A meeting shall be any legally noticed meeting. <br />The provisions relating to absences from meetings shall be <br />retroactive to January 1, 1997. There shall be no excused <br />absences. <br />Section 2. <br />This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and <br />after its passage and publication. <br />PASSED by the City Council of Little Canada this day of <br />, 1997. <br />ATTEST: <br />Joel R.
