Another change we could make for renewal applications is the licensing fee. Currently it <br />is $100 per building and $12 per unit. I think some fee is appropriate to aid in processing <br />paper work, but I believe we could reduce it for renewals to $50 per building and $6 per <br />unit. As you may remember, we did offer an incentive two years ago whereby complexes <br />that completed all of their inspections were granted a two -year license thereby saving one <br />year's of license fees. I would recommend we have the new fee apply to a two year <br />license. <br />For new licenses, the existing program should remain in effect. That means an inspection <br />and a license fee of $100 per building and $12 per unit.
