Date: September 22, 1997
To: Commander Luey (RCS)
Joel Hanson (L /C Administrator)
From: Joe Paget (RCS Traffic Deputy)
I was able to review the intersection and surrounding area of Allan and Desoto
as you requested.
The area west of Desoto on Allan appears to be headed for residential
development. Therefore, I believe the extention of Allan ave. to the west
would have some of the same concerns as Labore rd (just to the north of Allan)
between Edgerton and Centerville. There is currently a four way stop on
Labore rd at Desoto.
If I'm interpreting your question and concerns correctly, I would recommend
a three -way stop at Allan & Edgerton. The stop signs would be at the
following locations: W/B Allan, E/B Allan & N/B Desoto. It doesn't appear
the driveway north of Allan & Desoto generates enough activity to warrant
a forth stop sign at this time.
If you have any additional concerns on this intersection or any other area
in your city, please'let me'know.
dc:
ep. Joe Paget
27s
3b
cr
® N
LEN AVE.
