AGREEMENT <br />This Agreement is entered into on this <br />day of , 1997 by and <br />between the City of Little Canada, a Minnesota municipal corporation (hereinafter referred to as <br />"City "), and Little Canada Historical Society, Inc., a Minnesota non - profit corporation <br />(hereinafter referred to as "LCHS "). <br />WHEREAS, City and LCHS recognize the importance of preserving Little Canada's <br />unique heritage; and <br />WHEREAS, LCHS is desirous of having a facility to operate in that is accessible to the <br />public while also being adequate in size for display and storage of artifacts and records; and <br />WHEREAS, City recognizes the dedicated and selfless efforts the volunteer members of <br />LCHS render to the community in providing this civic service; and <br />WHEREAS, many options have been studied by City to address LCHS's space <br />requirements; and <br />WHEREAS, the most viable option to meet the long term needs of the community is to <br />construct an addition to the Little Canada City Center at an estimated cost of $310,000; and <br />WHEREAS, City and LCHS recognizes the funding of this project is a major financial <br />undertaking for both organizations; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT AGREED AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. City will cause the construction of an addition to the Little Canada City Center in a <br />manner consistent with the feasibility report prepared by Boarman Kroos Pfister Rudin & <br />Associates dated March 8, 1996 with the exception being the elimination of the unisex restroom. <br />Construction will occur as soon as practical as determined by the City. <br />Page 93 <br />
