The following summarizes the results of the low single quote received: <br />Low F.M. Frattalone Excavating <br />AMOUNT <br />$28,200.00 <br />The low quoter on the project was F.M. Frattalone Excavating with a Base Bid of $28,200.00. <br />The estimate for the project was $22,000. The quote has been reviewed and found to be in order. <br />However, because of the legal requirement that any public contract over $25,000 must be <br />publicly advertised, we recommend that one item be removed. The logical item to remove is the <br />one item which is for offsite work: placing rip rap rock at the culvert off of Centerville Road. The <br />resulting bid is $24,720. The actual cost of the project could be significantly less than this if the <br />street surface can be kept in place on most of the repairs.
