MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 8, 1992 <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />/ RESOLUTION NO. 92 -4 -123 - APPROVING THE AGREEMENT WITH <br />/ THE CITY OF MAPLEWOOD FOR CONNECTION TO LITTLE CANADA <br />WATERMAIN AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE <br />CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Collova. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Collova, LaValle, Hanson, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />STOP SIGN The Public Works Superintendent reported that the <br />ALLEN & residents in the area of Allen and DeSoto have <br />DESOTO requested that stop signs be installed at this <br />intersection. It appears that due to the condition of <br />LaBore Road, drivers are using DeSoto and Allen Avenue <br />to get to Edgerton. The Superintendent also <br />anticipated increased traffic once the Pioneer Park <br />fields are scheduled for use this Spring. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92 -4 -124 - APPROVING THE INSTALLATION OF <br />STOP SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTION OF ALLEN AVENUE AND <br />DESOTO STREET <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Hanson, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />TWIN LAKE The City Administrator reported that the County is <br />BLVD. planning an overlay improvement on Twin Lake Blvd. from <br />SHOULDER Vadnais Blvd. to Vadnais Blvd. Part of that <br />PAVING improvement includes paving of shoulders, for which the <br />County has indicated that the City is responsible for <br />100% of the cost. Past policy had been that the City <br />picked up 75% of the cost of shoulder paving, while the <br />County paid 25 %. <br />The Administrator reported that past City policy has <br />been to assess shoulder paving improvements at 80 %, <br />with the City picking up 20 %. The City Administrator <br />recommended that before the City acts on the shoulder <br />paving agreement with the County, that a public hearing <br />with the effected property owners be held. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />Page 6 <br />
