515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
(612) 484 -2177 / FAX: (612) 484 -4538
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Fahey & Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: June 6, 1996
RE: Quotations for Energy Retrofitting Services
MAYOR
Michael I. Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morel=
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
Pursuant to specifications prepared by the Environment and Energy
Resource Center (EERC), we received quotations for lighting
retrofitting as well as replacement of the three oldest furnaces
and air conditioners serving the City Hall. (Lighting also
includes retrofits at the Public Works garage.) The quotes
received for this work were as follows:
* Lighting Retrofits:
Energy Solutions $7,150.00
Egan Automation 7,680.00
Van -O -Lite 7,942.76
Muska Electric Company 10,900.00
HVAC:
Kath Heating & A/C 14,527.00
Krienke Heating & A/C 17,216.00
Northern Air Corporation 18,246.00
Based on these costs, the total for this work would equal
$21,677. This amount appears to be higher than what was
estimated by EERC in their initial work -up. The quotations will
be forwarded to them for their review, comment, and final
recommendation which will be presented at Monday's meeting.
JRH:kpv
Page 33
