MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 28, 1995 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95 -6 -159 - APPROVING THE JOINT POWERS <br />AGREEMENT WITH RAMSEY COUNTY FOR RECYCLING OF <br />MAINTENANCE MATERIALS AS RECOMMENDED BY CITY STAFF <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, Morelan, Fahey, Pedersen. <br />Nays (1) LaValle. Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95 -6 -160 - APPROVING THE CONSENT AGENDA <br />WHICH CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING ITEMS: <br />*CALL FOR COUNCIL WORKSHOP MEETINGS ON THE RICE STREET <br />STUDY FOR JULY 19 AND JULY 31, 1995 AT 7:00 P.M. AT <br />CITY HALL; <br />*ACCEPT EASEMENTS FOR KELLER PARKWAY WATER MAIN PROJECT <br />FOR THE SPROSTY PROPERTY AND THE O'NEIL PROPERTY; <br />*APPROVAL AND ACCEPTANCE OF FIRE RELIEF AUDIT & <br />SCHEDULES I AND II; <br />*CALL FOR PUBLIC HEARING FOR VACATION OF PORTION OF <br />JACKSON STREET RIGHT -OF -WAY BETWEEN AUSTRALIAN AND <br />BLUWOOD FOR WEDNESDAY, JULY 26, 1995, AT 7:30 P.M.; <br />*CALL FOR AUDIT WORKSHOP MEETING FOR JULY 12, 1995 <br />AT 6:30 P.M. AT CITY HALL. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, LaValle, Pedersen, Scalze, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />JACKSON/ Fahey reported that the Council has reviewed the <br />LAKE STREET background information on the Jackson /Lake Street <br />STOP SIGN stop sign. Fahey then reviewed the City <br />Administrator's memo dated June 23, 1995 which <br />recommends that the Council table action on the stop <br />sign issue until after it has had the opportunity to <br />re- evaluate the situation based on the impact that <br />reconstruction of the roads in the area has on traffic <br />patterns. It was suggested that the matter be tabled <br />until April of 1996. However, if the Council feels it <br />necessary to move more quickly, the matter could be <br />scheduled for a November Council meeting. <br />Scalze pointed out that at the last meeting when Mr. <br />11 <br />Page 6 <br />
