Office of:
JOEL R. HANSON, Administrator
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, MN 55117
612484.2177
FAX: 6124844538
March 23, 1990
CITY OF LITTLE CANADA
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
TO: Joel R. Hanson
FROM: Kathy Glanzer
RE: Tax - Forfeited Properties in the Park Street Area
MAYOR
Michael Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Stain
Bill almoner
Rick Collova
Jim LaValle
The Public Works Superintendent has looked at the tax - forfeit
property in the Park Street area and it is his feeling that Lots 2,
3, and 4, Block 7 are unbuildable, while the remaining parcels are
buildable. Attached is a map for your reference.
The County Board has acted to declare these tax - forfeit properties as
non - conservation and has asked for Council approval of this
classification. Attached is correspondence from the County which
describes the differences in the classifications of conservation and
non - conservation.
At their March 15th meeting, the Park Commission felt that Lots 2, 3,
and 4, Block 7 should remain a wetland area, but indicated that they
were unsure if the City needed to acquire this property in order for
it to remain so.
Also attached are sample resolutions submitted to us by the County -
one approving the classification of the property as non - conservation
and approving its sale, and the other approving the classification as
non - conservation and requesting acquisition by the City.
Page 17
