<br />Little Canada City Code 2601-1 <br />2601. CONTROL AND MANAGEMENT OF PARKS AND PARK FACILITIES <br /> <br /> <br />2601.010. DEFINITIONS. <br /> <br />1. "Council" shall mean and refer to the Little Canada City Council. <br /> <br />2. "Parks" shall mean a park, playground, trail, nature area, recreation center, special <br />use facility area or any other areas in the City owned, leased, used or controlled, <br />wholly in part, by the City for such purposes as are designated by the Council as <br />and for park use. <br /> <br />3. "Person" shall mean and refer to any individual, firm, partnership, corporation, and <br />association or persons. <br /> <br />4. "Waters" shall mean and refer to any lake, pond, river, stream or other body of <br />water located wholly within the boundaries of Little Canada, including those waters <br />lying within 300 feet and immediately abutting such shoreline. <br /> <br />5. "Law enforcement officer" shall mean and refer to any person duly deputized or <br />commissioned by the City or County for the purpose of enforcing the laws, <br />ordinances, and regulations of their respective jurisdictions. <br /> <br />6. “Electric-Assisted Bicycle (E-Bike)” shall mean a electric-assisted bicycle as <br />defined in Minnesota Statutes Section 169.011, including Class 1, Class 2, Class 3, <br />and multiple-mode electric-assisted bicycles. <br /> <br />7. “Micromobility Device” shall mean a small, lightweight transportation device <br />designed for use by a single operator, whether human-powered or electric-powered, <br />including but not limited to electric scooters, skateboards, roller skates, roller <br />blades, hoverboards, Segways, electric personal assistive mobility devices <br />(EPAMDs), and similar devices. <br /> <br />2601.030. HOURS AND ACCESS. Regular park hours are open to the public from 6:00 <br />a.m. to 10:00 p.m. No person or vehicle shall remain, stop, use, or be present within the confines <br />of any park at any other time. Other exceptions may be made at the discretion of the City in the <br />case of emergency or when special use permits have been authorized or for other reasons the City <br />may determine necessary or desirable. <br /> <br />2601.040. PERMITS. Permits shall be required for the exclusive use of all or portions of <br />specific areas, buildings, and other park facilities; and for conducting special events of a cultural, <br />educational, political, religious or recreational nature; and for a specific exemption from any <br />provision of this Ordinance.
