<br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FORMATION OF A LEGISLATIVE <br />COMMITTEE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Little Canada recognizes the importance <br />of legislative partnerships; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds it beneficial to establish a committee to develop, <br />review, and participate in legislative work; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is looking to formalize members on a Legislative <br />committee for 2026, and add this committee to the annual appointments list; and <br />WHEREAS, the formation of the legislative committee shall be as follows: <br />1. Establishment <br />A Legislative Committee is hereby established as an advisory body to the City <br />Council of the City of Little Canada. <br />2. Purpose <br />The Committee is an advisory body, tasked with ensuring that Legislative topics <br />are thoroughly evaluated and appropriately documented before Council <br />consideration. <br />3. Membership <br />The Committee shall consist of [two (2)] members of the City Council, who shall <br />be confirmed by the City Council annually. The City Administrator and Assistant <br />City Administrator shall serve as staff liaisons and may attend all meetings in an <br />advisory capacity. <br />4. Meetings <br />a) Meetings shall be scheduled as needed at the call of the City <br />Administrator, Assistant City Administrator, or Legislative Committee <br />members <br />5. Duties <br />The Legislative Committee shall: <br />a) Review and provide recommendations to the City Council regarding <br />personnel policies, employee handbooks, employee benefit offerings, and <br />organizational procedures;
