MINUTES <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />APRIL 11, 1996 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular <br />meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the llth day of <br />April, 1996 in the Council Chambers of the City Center <br />located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chairman Gene DeLonais called the meeting to order at <br />7:30 P.M. and the following members of the Commission <br />were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Gene DeLonais <br />Mr. Scott Barraclough <br />Mr. Dennis Carson <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Dan Knudsen <br />Mr. Rick Montour <br />Mr. Fred Schletty <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Mrs. Kathy Glanzer, Admin. Asst. <br />There being no corrections to the minutes of the March <br />14, 1996 Regular Planning Commission, the minutes stood <br />approved as submitted. <br />CONDITIONAL Mr. Gerald Battista, 951 Beam Avenue, appeared before <br />USE PERMIT- the Commission requesting approval of a Conditional <br />951 BEAM AVE. Use Permit so that he might construct a large barn on <br />his property. Battista reported that he would like to <br />purchase a Winnegabo and would store the vehicle in the <br />barn. The barn will have a flat ceiling with attic <br />space, as well as a full basement. The barn will not <br />exceed the City's 15 -foot height limitation. <br />Schletty pointed out that the City has been receiving a <br />lot of requests for second garages. Schletty pointed <br />out that in the past the City has approved second <br />garages that range in size between 1,000 and 1,500 <br />square feet. Mr. Battista is proposing an 1,800 square <br />foot structure. Schletty expressed concern that the <br />size of the building is getting outside the limits of <br />what the City has approved in the past. <br />DeLonais pointed out that a similar request was <br />1 <br />Page 30 <br />
