Hanson <br />Attached is an application for Massage Therapist License <br />submitted by Joan Gudmundsen to operate out of the Natural <br />Reflections beauty salon at 2900 Rice Street. Also attached is a <br />copy of our Massage Therapy Ordinance which lists under Section <br />2202.040 2. d. the documentation to be submitted showing the <br />applicant meets certain educational /training requirements. <br />As you can see, Ms. Gudmundsen attached copies of three <br />educational certificates. I contacted Ms. Gudmundsen and <br />informed her that the Council would need to know if the schools <br />from which her certificates were issued met our ordinance <br />requirements. From my conversation with her, I am assuming that <br />they do not. At that point in our conversation Ms. Gudmundsen <br />asked if her application could be submitted to the Council. She <br />indicated she would appear at the Council meeting to state her <br />position as to why these certificates should be acceptable.
