of the above - described materials into containers for such items on <br />private property unless authorization from the property owner has <br />been obtained. <br />(B) Each collection crew shall adhere to all applicable <br />ordinances of the City and all of the rules, regulations and <br />conditions for mixed municipal solid waste collection as <br />established by any agency of the City, County, State, or Federal <br />agencies. <br />(C) The collection crew shall perform their work in a neat <br />and quiet manner and clean up all mixed municipal solid waste, yard <br />waste, or recyclables spilled in collection under any <br />circumstances. <br />(D) The collection crew shall replace all containers on the <br />boulevard adjoining the curb or in an area designed by the owner <br />for such containers. <br />(E) The hauler understands and agrees that once any mixed <br />municipal solid waste is collected, it is the responsibility of the <br />hauler. The hauler shall hold harmless and indemnify the City for <br />all claims, actions, damages or causes of action of any kind <br />whatsoever, including attorney fees. The hold harmless and <br />indemnification includes all claims involving hazardous waste and <br />materials classified as hazardous according to City, County, State <br />and Federal regulations. <br />809.070. COLLECTION EQUIPMENT. <br />(A) Specification of Vehicles. All garbage, recyclable <br />materials, and rubbish shall be transported on the streets and <br />alleys in the City only in vehicles with leak -proof bodies of <br />easily cleanable construction and completely covered with metal and <br />heavy canvas. Vehicles shall be so operated that contents do not <br />spill or drip on to the streets or alleys or otherwise create a <br />nuisance. All equipment used for transporting garbage, recyclable <br />materials, and rubbish shall be subject to the approval of the <br />Public Works Director. <br />(B) Cleaning. All vehicles shall be kept in a clean and <br />sanitary condition. <br />(C) Maintenance. The vehicles shall be maintained in good <br />working order. They shall be equipped to meet all Federal, State, <br />County, and City regulations concerning vehicles used on public <br />roads and maintained to meet these standards. <br />(D) Safety Equipment. Each collection vehicle shall have a <br />flashing light warning system, fire extinguisher (CO2 type) and <br />proper backup alarms as approved by the City. <br />-5- <br />Page 72 <br />
