15. Project Implementation <br />Please note how you will comply with or modify the minimum standards shown in the "MN /DOT Community Roadside <br />Landscaping Partnership Program: 1995 Training School" manual (pages 4 -1 through 7 -6). <br />a. Methods for Project Implementation <br />What methods will be used for site preparation, plant materials handling, inspection, and storage, planting and <br />maintenance? How will methods respond to any special site conditions (such as presence of compacted soil, poor <br />drainage, existing pavement on site, underground and overhead utilities)? <br />The project will generally adhere to the procedures and specifications in the MnDOT partnership manual. All sites are <br />to be staked and checked by Gopher One prior to excavation. Site preparation will be done in the week before planting <br />and tree holes will be dug by hand. All stock will be planted on the day it arrives or kept in a sheltered location and <br />planted within a week. All planting will be done following the methodology in Section 6 including watering and mulching <br />at the time of planting. No unusual site conditions are known to exist. <br />b. Planting Stock and Guarantee <br />How will plant stock be obtained and their quality assured? (All plant materials must be certified stock obtained from <br />a nursery stock dealer or grower certified by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture and should meet ANSI <br />standards for nursery stock) Will you tag stock in nursery and be able to reject unsuitable stock? Are project trees <br />guaranteed, and for how long? <br />All stock will be purchased through Green Value Nursery (MDA certification # ) who will provide <br />plants meeting ANSI standards and will guarantee the stock for one growing season.
