Completed management plans for two city -owned <br />open space sites in Maplewood, and Maplewood <br />Open Space Land Management Operations Plan for <br />the Parks and Open Space Commission. <br />Completed a Watershed Assessment for the Round Lake <br />Association in Little Canada, highlighting pollution <br />problems and opportunties for improvement. We <br />have continued to work with the design team for the City <br />Center and Little Canada Road projects, to include stormwater <br />managment strategies that will benefit the lake and the <br />redevelopment project. <br />Assisted parents, students and volunteers at two schools to <br />obtain School Nature Area Project grants, and helped <br />to implement these projects on school grounds in <br />White Bear Lake and Maplewood. <br />Continued to work with the H.B. Fuller Company at <br />their Willow Lake Campus in Vadnais Heights to <br />plan and implement projects to improve natural <br />resources and demonstrate new approaches at <br />corporate or business sites. <br />Presented "Your Yard in the Watershed" Workshops <br />to over 100 residents in White Bear Lake, and <br />several "Caring for Wetlands in Your Backyard" <br />Workshops to over 50 participants. <br />Worked with City of White Bear Lake staff on a <br />White Bear Lake Water Quality video, and on <br />lakeshore erosion issues on Birch Lake. <br />Coordinated a workshop and other activities with <br />the Gervais Lake Association to address the spread <br />of Eurasian Water Milfoil in the lake. <br />Completed a natural resources management plan for <br />Battle Creek Park for the Ramsey County Parks <br />Department. <br />The map attached shows our project sites in 1996. <br />Page 16 <br />
