A member of the public suggested that <br />the company may be a "truck terminar which would not be permitted In the B -3, General <br />Business District. <br />Truck terminals are not defined in the Zoning Ordinance. We would suggest a definition <br />such as the following: <br />Truck Terminal: A business the principal activity of which is to accept goods for <br />storage or transfer. Characteristic of such a use would be significant levels of <br />deliveries and shipping from the site in question, as well as a building which <br />primarily consists of storage. <br />Quicksilver is a courier business which accepts goods for transfer. The question is <br />whether the property in question is office and administrative service in nature, or whether <br />it is like a truck terminal. I inspected the property on Thursday, July 11 to examine the <br />activity in the building. The Quicksilver space in the building consists of approximately <br />22,000 square feet. The activities conducted in the building consist of office and <br />administrative functions such as management, billing and personnel; dispatch services <br />between client orders and company drivers; and office supply storage.
