JUL -18 -1996 16:31
NAC 612 595 9837 P.03/03
belong to Quicksilver. Mike Crary indicated that these packages (small boxes of
electronics parts) were typically delivered by UPS two or three times per week as a part
of scheduled UPS delivery/pick up to the building. There is no loading dock on the
property.
With regard to the parking of company vehicles on the property, Mr. Crary indicated that
some employee drivers reported to the office only to park their personal vehicles and leave
in company vehicles. Goods to be delivered are picked up off site and delivered off site.
Other than the electronics parts mentioned above, the office property in question is not
utilized for storage or transfer of goods. The City has typically considered the parking of
company vehicles to constitute appropriate accessory use in business areas. The only
exception to this is the separate parking of semi - trailers which was established as a
restricted conditional use in the Industrial Park District.
In summary, we believe that the Quicksilver business meets the intent of the 8-3 Zoning
District in that it consists of office, dispatch, and other administrative activities. The lack
of loading dock facilities effectively limits the possibility that the building could be put to
more intense trucking uses.
cc: Joel Hanson
Kathy Glanzer
Greg Schmidt
Page 7
TOTAL P.03
