7 -19 -1996 10:14AM FROM SWEENEY BORER OSTROW 223 5289 <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING CHAPTER 212 AND AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 601 AUTHORIZING THE CODE ENFORCEMENT <br />OFFICER TO ENFORCE THE CITY'S CODE AND ISSUE TAGS <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE CANADA HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br />section 1. <br />Chapter 212 of the Municipal Code of the City of Little <br />Canada is hereby added to read as follows: <br />212. CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER. <br />212.010. ESTABLISHMENT OF CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER. The <br />City Council.may by resolution appoint one or more individuals as <br />Code Enforcement Officers. A Code Enforcement Officer shall be <br />authorized to enforce all provisions of the Municipal Code of <br />Little Canada and the Little Canada Zoning Ordinance. <br />212.020. <br />authorizes the City Administrator, an and CityCemployeesrand <br />individuals employed by departments contracting with the City to <br />provide necessary services, designated by the City Administrator, <br />to issue and serve written or printed notice, hereinafter <br />referred to as a "tag," upon persons charged with any violation <br />of the Municipal Code of Little Canada and the Little Canada <br />Zoning Ordinance. The following individuals shall have the <br />authority to issue tags for violations of City Ordinances: (a) <br />peace officers and part-time peace officers; (b) reserve <br />Officers; (c) community service officers; (d) code enforcement <br />officers; (e) building officials; and (f) fire inspection <br />officers. <br />Section 2. <br />• <br />Section 601.060 of the Municipal Code of the City of Little <br />Canada is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />ENFORCEMENT. It shall be the duty of the Council to enforce <br />the provisions of this Chapter. The council hereby authorizes <br />the code enforcement officer to enforce this Chapter, including <br />the power to inspect private premises and to issue tags for <br />violations of this Chapter. <br />1 <br />Page 71 <br />P. 3 <br />
