MINUTES <br />VARIANCE FOR <br />REAR YARD <br />SETBACK - <br />812 ASPEN <br />CIRCLE - <br />JEBENS <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />SEPTEMBER 12, 1996 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular <br />meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 12th day of <br />September, 1996 in the Council Chambers of the City <br />Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chairman Gene DeLonais called the meeting to order at <br />7:30 P.M. and the following members of the Commission <br />were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Gene DeLonais <br />Mr. Scott Barraclough <br />Mr. Dennis Carson <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Dan Knudsen <br />Mr. Fred Schletty <br />MEMBERS EXCUSED: Mr. Rick Montour <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Mrs. Kathy Glanzer, Admin. Asst. <br />There being no corrections to the minutes of the August <br />8, 1996 Regular Planning Commission meeting, the <br />minutes stood approved as submitted. <br />Mr. David Jebens, 812 Aspen Circle, appeared before <br />the Commission requesting a variance so he can <br />construct an enclosed porch 7 feet within the required <br />30 -foot rear yard setback. <br />Mr. Rick Rossbach, Rossbach Construction, reported that <br />he is the contractor Mr. Jebens would like to hire to <br />construct this porch. Rossbach indicated that he is <br />also a member of the Grant Township Planning <br />Commission. Therefore, he is very familiar with the <br />criteria required for a variance. Rossbach felt this <br />situation met all the hardship criteria as outlined in <br />the City Planner's report dated September 9, 1996 under <br />Section 2.a. <br />Rossbach pointed out that the Jebens house has a 30- <br />foot front yard setback, yet only a 37 foot backyard. <br />1 <br />Page 22 <br />
