MINUTES City Council April 24, 1785 Bordsen Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Property Rezoning RESOLUTION NO. 85 -4 -191 - DENYING THE REZONING (Cont.) OF THE BORDSEN PROPERTY FROM R -1 TO R -2 DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE PROPERTY IS SURROUNDED ON THREE SIDES BY R -1 AND THAT THE PROPERTY WAS NEVER APPROVED AS R -2 AND BASED ON THE CITY'S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AND FINALLY AS THE LOT IS SMALLER THAN THE CODE REQUIREMENT FOR AN R -2 LOT The Foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener. Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Nardini, Collova, Fahey. Nayes (0). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 12, Pages 190 and 191. Zietlow Rear Yard Setback Variance Agenda - Item No. 8 Mr. James Zietlow has applied for a rear yard setback variance in order to construct a deck on his home. The Mayor pointed out that the Planning Commission has recommended approval of the variance. Also, the Building Inspector has recommended that the variance be approved as it is an extension of an existing variance which was previously granted so that the home could be placed in conformance with the other homes in the area. Mrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85 -4 -192 - CLOSING THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ZIETLOW REAR YARD SETBACK VARIANCE The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. Ayes (5) Nardini, Scalze, Collova, Fahey, Blesener. Nayes (0). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 12, Page 192. Mrs. Nardini introduced the Following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85 -4 -193 - APPROVING THE SEAR YARD SETBACK VARIANCE AS REQUESTED 3Y JAMES ZIETLOW BASED UPON THE RECONNENDATION OF THE BUILDING INSPECTOR WHO SITED THE FACT THAT THE HOUSE WAS PLACED ON THE LOT IN A MANNER TO CONFORII TO THE OTHER HOMES IN THE AREA AND IN HIS OPINION THE VARIANCE IS JUSTIFIABLE Page 3
