MINUTES <br />City Council <br />April 24, 1785 <br />Bordsen Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />Property <br />Rezoning RESOLUTION NO. 85 -4 -191 - DENYING THE REZONING <br />(Cont.) OF THE BORDSEN PROPERTY FROM R -1 TO R -2 DUE TO <br />THE FACT THAT THE PROPERTY IS SURROUNDED ON THREE <br />SIDES BY R -1 AND THAT THE PROPERTY WAS NEVER <br />APPROVED AS R -2 AND BASED ON THE CITY'S COMPREHENSIVE <br />PLAN AND FINALLY AS THE LOT IS SMALLER THAN THE <br />CODE REQUIREMENT FOR AN R -2 LOT <br />The Foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Nardini, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 12, Pages 190 and 191. <br />Zietlow <br />Rear Yard <br />Setback <br />Variance <br />Agenda <br />- Item No. 8 <br />Mr. James Zietlow has applied for a rear yard setback variance in <br />order to construct a deck on his home. <br />The Mayor pointed out that the Planning Commission has recommended <br />approval of the variance. Also, the Building Inspector has recommended <br />that the variance be approved as it is an extension of an existing <br />variance which was previously granted so that the home could be <br />placed in conformance with the other homes in the area. <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 85 -4 -192 - CLOSING THE PUBLIC <br />HEARING ON THE ZIETLOW REAR YARD SETBACK <br />VARIANCE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Nardini, Scalze, Collova, Fahey, Blesener. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 12, Page 192. <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the Following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 85 -4 -193 - APPROVING THE SEAR <br />YARD SETBACK VARIANCE AS REQUESTED 3Y JAMES <br />ZIETLOW BASED UPON THE RECONNENDATION OF THE <br />BUILDING INSPECTOR WHO SITED THE FACT THAT <br />THE HOUSE WAS PLACED ON THE LOT IN A MANNER TO <br />CONFORII TO THE OTHER HOMES IN THE AREA AND IN <br />HIS OPINION THE VARIANCE IS JUSTIFIABLE <br />Page 3 <br />
