515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
(612) 484 -2177 / FAX: (612) 484 -4538
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Fahey & Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: October 4, 1996
RE: 1997 Street Improvements
MAYOR
Michael I. Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Moreton
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
You are being furnished with feasibility reports under separate
cover for the following projects proposed for construction in
1997:
* Arcade Street (from Keller Parkway to County Road D
including water main from Keller Parkway to LaBore
Road).
* Australian Avenue (from Lakeshore Avenue to its point
of termination to the west).
* Bluwood Avenue (from Lakeshore Avenue to its point of
termination to the west).
* East Brooks Avenue (from Morrison to Savage Lane).
It is the recommendation of staff that we conduct neighborhood
meetings with the affected property owners to review these
reports and seek their comments and input. Therefore, we would
like the Council to authorize us to conduct these meetings on
October 29 and 30, 1996. Notes of discussion and a final
recommendation to the Council will be made at our meeting of
November 13, 1996. At that time, the Council will decide if it
is appropriate to call for improvement hearings on each
respective project.
Paul Heuer of Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Associates will be
present at Wednesday's meeting to review these reports with the
Council and to answer any questions you may have.
JRH:kpv
Page 19
