Hanson <br />RE: Recommendation on Potential Park Usage of Lake Street <br />Property <br />During the September 5, 1996 Parks and Recreation Commission <br />meeting, the commission moved to recommend we release our <br />interest in the Ruth Street property. The commission stated <br />their reasons were as related in the April 19, 1996 memo to Mayor <br />Fahey and Members of the City Council: <br />• Although the land has some potential as park property, a <br />park in that area would involve more land than just the area <br />available. <br />• Planning a park in this area would involve looking at <br />property when the commercial area has been developed. <br />Page 36 <br />
