Parking Site <br />Minimum of 360 spaces <br />+20 spaces for service department <br />+40 spaces for employees <br />+30 spaces reserved for cutomers <br />(except when located in <br />shopping center) <br />5 Acres <br />450 parking spaces Total 5 Acre Site Minimum <br />Roseville <br />As part of a special use in the B -3, General Business District, new, used <br />and lease car sales are allowed. In the B -2, Retail Business District a <br />special use for only new cars is allowed. Both of these special uses are <br />subject to no specified conditions in the Ordinance, but rather to the <br />discretion of the City Council. <br />Plymouth <br />New and used car sales are allowed under a CUP in the B -2 and B -3 designated <br />zoning areas. However, the City official stated that their use has been <br />limited because not much land within the City is zoned B -2 or B -3. <br />White Bear Lake <br />Motor vehicle sales is a permitted use in the B -3, Auto - Oriented Business <br />District. There are no special provisions for such a use. <br />Burnsville <br />New and used car sales are allowed through a CUP only. Their current <br />Ordinance states no conditions upon which a CUP will be granted and that <br />conformance with the sign, landscaping provisions, etc. are the only <br />controls. They will soon be updating their ordinance to state specific <br />conditions. <br />Golden Valley <br />No special provisions for car sales in this City. <br />When City officials were asked about standards relative to architecture <br />or aesthetics, none stated that they had any such provisions. <br />Information from the League of Minnesota Cities provides some insight into <br />how other area cities have regulated car sales operations in the past.
