APRIL 1985 <br />'MODEL ADOPTIVE ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE MINNESOTA SPATE BUILDING CODE: PROVIDING FOR <br />IT'S ADMINISTRATION AND ENFORCEMENT: REGULATING THE ERECTION, CONSTRUCTION, <br />ENLARGEMENT, ALTERATION, REPAIR, MOVING, REMOVAL, DEMOLITION, CONVERSION, <br />OCCUPANCY, EQUIPMENT, USE, HEIGHT, AREA AND MAINTENANCE OF ALL BUILDINGS <br />AND /OR STRUCTURES IN THE (CITY /COUNTY/TOWNSHIP) OF <br />PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS AND COLLECTION OF FEES THEREFORE; <br />PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF: (REPEALING /AMENDING) ORDINANCE <br />NO. OF THE (CITY /COUNTY/.COWNSHIP) OF AND <br />ALL OTHER ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. <br />The (City Council /County Commission/Township Board) of <br />(City /County/rczgnship) does ordain as follows: <br />Section 1. Building Code. The Minnesota State Building Code, established <br />pursuant to Mn. Stats. 16B.60 through 16B.73, one copy of which is on file in <br />the office of the (City Clerk /County Auditor/Township <br />Clerk) is hereby adopted as the building code for the <br />(City /County/Tcwnship) of . Such code is hereby <br />incorporated in this ordinance as completely as if set out in full. <br />A. The 1985 Edition of the State Buiding Code effective 1/14/85 adopts by <br />reference the following codes. <br />(1.) 1982 Edition of the Uniform Building Code, identified as "UBC "; <br />(2.) 1984 Edition of the National Electrical Code, identified as "NEC "; <br />(3.) 1981 American National Standard Safety Code for Elevators, <br />Dumbwaiters, Escalators and Moving Walks, identified as ANSI A17.1 - <br />1981 and Supplement, ANSI A17.1a - 1982. <br />(4.) Minnesota Plumbing Code, Minnesota Rules 4715.001 - 4715.5600. <br />(5.) Flood Proofing Regulations, June 1972, Office of the Chief of <br />Engineers, U.S. Army. <br />(6.) Minnesota Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning and <br />Refrigeration Code, Minnesota Rules 1345.0010 - 1345.3000. <br />(7.) Rules for Energy Conservation Alternatives in Construction <br />Minnesota Rules 1325.0600 - .0700 adopts by reference the 1983 CABO <br />Model Energy Code. <br />(8.) State of Minnesota Manufactured (Mobile) Home Rules, identified <br />as Minnesota Rules 1350.0100 - .9200. (July 31, 1983) <br />(9.) Standards of Performance for Solar Energy Systems and Subsystems <br />Applied to Energy Needs of Buildings, 1977 Edition, identified as <br />Minnesota Rules 1325.1000 - .9500. <br />30 <br />
