Said application shall be submitted to the City Health Officer for <br />investigation. The Health Officer shall determine whether or not the <br />applicant is a responsible individual or company, whether the applicant <br />possesses the necessary equipment to provide adequate services and he shall <br />look into any other matters he deems pertinent to his investigation. If the <br />Health Officer finds that the applicant is entitled to a license, he shall <br />endorse his approval on the application. <br />A license fee of Dollars ($ ) shall be <br />paid to the Clerk at the time of submitting said application. BOND REQUIRED. Each applicant shall, before being granted a <br />license, provide a continuing performance bond in the amount of Three Thousand <br />Dollars ($3,000.00) for the benefit of its customers and of the City. <br />Further, said applicant shall provide a certificate of public liability <br />insurance in the minimum amount of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) <br />for any one injury and Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) for more <br />than one injury in a single occurrence and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) <br />property damage coverage per accident on each and every vehicle used for <br />refuse collection. <br />(Source: Ord. 101; Amended: Ord. 106) <br />810. TAXICABS <br />810.010. DEFINITIONS. For the purpose of this Chapter, certain terms <br />and words are defined as follows: <br />1. Taxicab. Any motor vehicle engaged in the carrying of <br />persons for hire; but not to include vehicles subject to <br />control and regulation by the Public Service Commission. <br />2. Street. Any road, street, avenue, boulevard, alley, bridge, <br />lane or other public way in the City. <br />3. Taxicab Driver. The term "driver" shall mean the individual <br />in immediate control of the movement of a taxicab, whether <br />he be the owner or employee operator thereof. <br />4. Operator. Any person, firm, partnership, corporation or <br />association owning or making available for hire one or more <br />taxicabs upon the streets ..f .i ity. <br />810.020.
