MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />January 10, 1985 <br />Pursuant to due call. and notice thereof a regular meeting of the <br />Planning.; Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was <br />hold on the 10th day of January, 1985 in the Council Chambers of <br />the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chairman Peter Costa called the meeting to order at 7:35 P.M. and <br />the following were present at roll call.: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Peter Costa <br />Bil1 Davison <br />Gene DeLonais <br />Roy French <br />Art HerkenhoEf <br />Karolyn Kingsbury <br />Thomas Perlinger <br />Sharon Timmons <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Thomas Ducharme <br />ALSO PRESENT: Steve Grtttman, City Planner <br />Kathleen Glanzer, Recording Secretary <br />Approval There being no corrections to the December 6th Planning Commission <br />Of The minutes, Peter Costa indicated that the minutes were approved as <br />Minutes read. <br />Anderson & Mr. Gordy Howe appeared before the Commission requesting the rezoning <br />Howe of the back 105 feet of the Ed Anderson property fronting on Park <br />Rezoning Street. Mr. Howe reported that he is proposing to build two 4— plexes <br />Proposal on the property. These would be the same units as he built on Ruth <br />Street with a slightly different _front. <br />Mr. Howe stated that he had some concern about Item 6 of the Planner's <br />report which recommends intense landscaping on the South and West <br />property lines. Mr. Howe indicated that the South property line <br />is already screened by some large pine trees. Howe also pointed out <br />that the property on the north is a swamp and he questioned the value <br />of screening from the swamp. <br />Mrs. Timmons questioned what was meant by the word "intense" in the <br />Planner's recommendation. <br />Mr. Crittman replied that since the property would he a PUD and in light <br />of the number of necessary approvals, landscaping should be required to <br />ensure the least amount of impact to the surrounding properties. <br />Crittman stated that iE the trees are adequate screening, then that <br />would he acceptable. <br />Page —1— <br />1 <br />
