:z,
Mia. Reg. Meeting
City Council
5 -8 -74
Cont.
QUESTIONS
ON THE
MOTION.
AREA
(288 -289)
A question was raised, if it is the intention of the
Council to rezone all these parcels in one motion. In the
discussion of the area, it was the opinion of the Council
to rezone the entire area as requested by the Planning Com-
mission as a Council action.
FEES
(290 -294) A question was raised as to who would pay the rezoning
fees. In the discussion on this matter, it was pointed out
that the Plan._Com.passed two motions one for Mr. Nadeau and
one for the other parcels. There is_a fee of $ 50.00 for re-
zoning. As it appears it would not be fare to charge $ 50.00
one person $ 50.00 for rezoning and the other property owners
nothing. The cost for the rezoning may be more then $ 50.00
It was the opinion of the attorney that since this is a Council
action, the rezoning fees should be paid by the City. It was
the opinion of the Council that the rezoning fee for Mr. Nadeau
should be waved. But it was also mentioned that since Mr. Nadeau
started the proceedings he should pay.
PROPERTY
OWNERS
(295.303)
ABSTRACTORS
CERTIFICATE
(304 -321)
Dolan.
(322 -333)
page 14
A question was raised concerning the individual property
owners. In the discussion on this matter it was pointed out that
it may be better that each individual property owner petition for
the rezoning rather then the Council initiate the proceeding. On
this matter it was the opinion of the Council to rezone the area
because the land use map showes the area proposed for I -1 and it
would save more time then to have separate rezoning for each parcel
and eventualy the owners would be requesting the rezoning. There
appears to be about 70 to 80 acres envolved in this rezoning
A question was raised concerning the " Abstractors Certificate:
The attorney explained to the Council, what the " Abstractors" Cer-
tificate is and how it is used in a re- zoning. The attorney stated
since this is a Council Action the City would acquire the " Abstract-
ors Certificate, which could cost about $ 150.00 or more since the
rezoning consists of 70 acres more or less. He also informed the
Council that a rezoing by Council action takes 4/5 vote.
Mr. Daniel F. Dolan, the sales agent representing Mr.
Nadeau, informed the Council, that he has discussed the matter
with Mr. Nadeau and some of the property owners . Mr. D. Dolan
also stated he would furnish the, " Abstractos Certificate ",
for the 70 acres and will also pay the $ 50.00 rezoning fee.
