This area is currently zoned I -1, but is under further study for
possible residential zoning.
Page 97, Planning Districts, Replace District 7 Description with:
District 7 is currently zoned for industrial use. Although there are
some soil problems in the area, study indicates that the area is developable.
Area landowners have expressed interest in retaining the industrial designa-
tion. An overall plan for the area is recommended, perhaps utilizing
City initiated economic development programs. Such a plan would most
efficiently develop the area which is currently divided among several
independent landowners. Due to the surrounding residential neighborhoods,
industrial development should be carefully controlled. Transitional land
uses, in the form of medium family residential development is recommended
for those areas abutting the single family areas to the east.
cc: Joe Chlebeck
Toni Sweeney
Don Carley
27
