MINUTES
Planning
Commission
August 8, 1985
Vitale Fence
(Cont.)
Mr. Grittman stated that the only problem would be if the neighbors
are opposed to the fence. Mr. Vitale replied that the neighbors are
intending to make the same request.
Mrs. Timmons suggested that the Commission act on the fence variance
for all the neighbors at this time.
Mr. Vitale asked if all the neighbors would have to pay the $100 fee.
The Planner pointed out that any portion of the fee not used in review
costs would be refunded.
Mr. DeLonais recommended approval of a fence variance in order to
construct an 8 foot fence for the property owners along County Road
C and Jessica Court due to the amount of traffic on County Road C,
and the close proximity of the road to these homes.
Motion seconded by Mr. Herkenhoff.
Motion carried 7 — 0.
Steneroden Mr. Waite asked the Commission how he should proceed with the development
Proposal of the Steneroden property. Waite expressed confusion over what the
_ (Cont.) Iona Lane property owners want.
Adjourn
Mr. DeLonais stated that he thought Mr. Waite's proposal would have
passed had the commercial zoning not extended in back of Lot 15.
Waite also pointed out that the Comprehensive Plan recommends commercial
zoning along Rice Street.
Timmons asked if the Council would be agreeable to a long cul —de —sac
coming from Sylvan Street.
Mr. Davison suggested that perhaps multiple family housing would be
the way to go on Rice Street.
Mr. Herkenhoff stated that the people of Iona Lane have to realize that
this property will eventually be developed.
Mr. Costa recommended that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Mr. DeLonais.
Motion carried 7 — 0.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:15 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
C I
athleen Glanzer, Recordinvi Secretary
