Approval <br />Of The <br />Minutes <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />November 14, 1985 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the <br />Planning Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was <br />held on the 14th day of November, 1985 in the Council Chambers of <br />the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chairman Peter Costa called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. and <br />the following members were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Peter Costa <br />Mr. Gene DeLonais <br />Mr. Bill Davison <br />Mr. Thomas Ducharme <br />Mr. Art Herkenhoff <br />Mrs. Karolyn Kingsbury <br />Mr. Thomas Perlinger <br />Mrs. Sharon Timmons <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Mr. Bud Nagovsky, Building Inspector <br />Mrs. Kathleen Glanzer, Recording Secretary <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Mr. Roy French <br />Mr. Gene DeLonais indicated that on page 2 of the October 10 minutes <br />the third paragraph from the bottom should refer to Tom Thumb rather <br />than Speedy Market. <br />Mr. Costa indicated that the minutes should be approved as corrected. <br />Metal The City Planner reported that the Building Inspector is recommending <br />Buildings that no pole type or engineered -steel building with metal exterior be <br />allowed that is over 120 square feet in residential or business zones. <br />The Planner stated that he concurs with this recommendation. <br />Mr. DeLonais asked if there was any reason for metal buildings in a <br />residential or commercial zone other than the small metal shed. The <br />Planner stated that the Council feels there is no need and that metal <br />buildings should only be allowed in the I -1 zone. <br />DeLonais asked if a trailer was considered a metal building. The <br />Planner stated that the Code allows metal siding on a home. <br />Mr. Davison asked if the ordinance intends to prohibit metal siding <br />regardless of the interior of a building. The Planner stated that <br />there may be types of siding that the City would want to accept and <br />that is why the Planner tried to allow for this originally. <br />Page -1- <br />
