MINUTES Planning Commission Sept. 12, 1985 Carlson Used Car License (Cont.) Schrier/ Mogren Property Division Mr. Crittman stated that Mr. Carlson will comply with the provisions of the new ordinance. Carlson indicated that his feeling from the Council was that this was fine in the industrial area. Carlson pointed out that nothing will be change from the existing Framecraft facility other than the addition of office space for himself. Carlson stated that he will comply with the ordinance. The Planner suggested that any approval be contingent upon receipt of a site plan for the lot. }lerkenhoff asked if there would be a limit as to the number of cars on the premises. The Planner stated that this is why a site plan is needed as it will show how may cars could be on the site. If the number of cars is exceeded, the Building Inspector would be able to come in and order the property cleaned up. Mr. Herkenhoff recommended approval of the conditional use permit requested by Steve Carlson for used car sales license subject to receipt of a site plan. Motion seconded by Mr. Perlinger. Motion carried 5 - 0. There was no one present on the Schrier /Mogren property division. The Planner reported that he did not know anything about this matter. Mrs. Kingsbury recommended that the Schri.er /Mogren property division be tabled. Motion seconded by Mr. Perlinger. Motion carried 5 - 0. Property Mr. French again expressed concern about the property located between the Adjacent Cardinal property and Iona Lane. French commented that unless some plan To Cardinal is made for this property, the people owning it will never be able to Property develop it. Mr. DeBace stated that in the past these people have wanted to be left alone. However, from a planning standpoint, the property should be looked at. The Planner commented that one of the biggest problems is that the people on Iona Lane have been assured that they will have an R -1 buffer around their property. Page -7-
