Mr. Carlson stated that the blacktopping is <br />planned to improve the looks of the property and also that the buses <br />have been removed. <br />Mr. Fahey asked if auto sales was allowed in an Industrial District. <br />Mr. Fahey suggested that Mr. Carlson contact the Planner on Monday <br />and inform him of his plans and determine if auto sales are allowed <br />in an industrial area. <br />Mr. Carlson pointed out that the new ordinance only allows three <br />auto sales licenses in the City. Carlson stated that nothing will <br />change as regards the appearance of the building. <br />Fahey stated that he would be in favor of one of the auto sales licenses <br />being issued in, Ryan Industrial Park. <br />Mr. Carlson pointed out that before the State will approve his auto <br />sales license they want approval of the City. <br />Fahey suggested that Carlson meet with the Planner on whether or not • <br />he even needs a license as he would just be wholesaling cars. <br />Mrs. Scalze and Mrs. Nardini both indicated that the would be in favor <br />of the operation in Ryan Industrial Park. <br />Fahey suggested that Carlson get himself on the agenda for the August <br />28th Council <br />meeting. <br />Mr. Fahey reported that the Chamber of Commerce is suggesting that the <br />Council eliminate site plan reviews for commercial and industrial buildings <br />that meet City Code. Fahey stated that he was agreeable to this and pointed <br />out that the City began this at a time when it did not have the Building <br />Inspector it has new. <br />Mr. Collova stated that he was in favor of this as he felt that the <br />Councilmembers were not administrators. <br />Scalze suggested that the Council get a copy of the permits that have been <br />issued. Fahey stated that he would only be interested in the commercial <br />and industrial perinis and not the residential. <br />Scalze commented thaK there might he some instances, for example on the <br />McGough propert,y,,wheF the City did not get an easement that it was <br />supposed to have gotten..
