MINUTES <br />City Council <br />August 14, 1985 <br />Auto - Oriented Mr. Fahey reported that Bill Quirin of the Chamber of Commerce requested <br />Businesses that before the Council adopt the proposed ordinance on auto- oriented <br />businesses that the Chamber be given a chance to review the ordinance. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 10 The City Clerk reported that he gave Mr. Quirin a copy of the ordinance <br />last week. <br />Mr. Blesener asked if the Planning Commission should review the ordinance. <br />Mrs. Scalze replied that they have and have referred the matter to the <br />Council. <br />Scalze asked if the Building Inspector has seen the ordinance. The <br />Clerk replied that he did not know. <br />Scalze stated that she was concerned about the moratorium expiring. <br />The Clerk thought that the moratorium expired at the end of August. <br />The Clerk also reported that he gave a copy of the ordinance to Dr. <br />Krinke and to Tom's Auto Sales. <br />4r. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 85 -8 -385 - TABLING FOR TWO WEEKS <br />ACTION ON THE AUTO- ORIENTED BUSINESS ORDINANCE <br />AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO INFORM THE <br />CHAMBER OF COMMERCE THAT THE CITY ;IOULD LIKE ITS <br />COMMENTS ON THIS ORDINANCE BY THE AUGUST 23 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Collova, Nardini, Scalze, Blesener. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in ResolutionBook No. 12, Page 390. <br />Mr. Blesener pointed out that motor vehicle sales is listed as a conditional <br />use and also as a permitted use. <br />:tr. Fahey suggested that this be referred to the Planner to redraft <br />appropriately. <br />Auto Sales Mr. Steve Carlson appeared before the Council and reported that he <br />In 3yan rebuilds late model cars and resells them. Most of his rehuildin; <br />Industrial work is done by Framecraft, which is located in Ryan Industrial Park. <br />Park Mr. Carlson's proposal is that Framecraft will do his rebuilding and <br />he will lease some space for an office from Framecraft. From the ofEic <br />Agenda he will be dealing with various car dealers around [o.an to sell his <br />Addition cars on consi:.zn:nent. <br />58 <br />
