MINUTES Planning Commission Feb. 13, 1986 Planning Workshops Mr. Costa noted that the Planning Commission members received information in the mail about various workshops. Davison reported that he felt a planning workshop he recently attended along with Mrs. Timmons and Mr. Chlebeck was very helpful. It dealt with zoning authority and responsibility. Other Mr. DeLonais suggested that the Commission make a recommendation to Business the Council on the size of the Planning Commission. Mr. Davison explained at a recent Council meeting the Council decided to reduce the size of the Commission to 7, but it would he done by attrition. Also, Mr. DeLonais' and Mrs. Schweizer's terms were increased to three years. Davison also reported that attendance of Planning Commission members was discussed by the Council. DeLonais suggested that perhaps this is another area that the Commission should make a recommendation to the Council on. Timmons suggested that the Planning Commission should review its own attendance at the end of each year. The Commission felt that there was a lack of communication between the Council and the Planning Commission. The Commission felt that a liaison should be appointed from the Council to the Planning Commission. Mn Costa asked the status of elderly housing under the Rutzick proposal. The Planner replied that they have done a market study and it appears that there is not a need for market rate elderly housing. The need lies in subsidized elderly housing. Adjourn Mrs. Timmons recommended the meeting be adjourned. Motion seconded by Mr. Davison. Motion carried 5 - O. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:27 P.M.
