MINUTES
Planning Commission
May 8, 1986
Bingo
(cont.)
Otherwise, Davison stated that he would be in favor of changing the
ordinance to require that applications for gambling permits come
before the Planning Commission for action.
Mr. Costa recommended tabling action on the parking plans for a
bingo hall in the Northwestern Bell building for 30 days.
Motion seconded by Mr: DeLonais.
Motion carried 5 to 2. Messrs. Davison and Perlinger voted against.
Mrs. Timmons expressed concern that this matter was previously
acted on at a Council meeting where there were only four Councilmembers
present.
Twin Lake Mr. Edmundson again appeared before the Commission requesting approval
Shores of the division of the Margaret Mitchell property into three lots.
2nd Addition Edmundson stated that he has reviewed the Planner's report and was
agreeable to the recommendations except for the dedication of a
road easement on the north end of the property.
Edmundson stated that he has discussed this possibility with Mrs.
Mitchell and from an economic standpoint, they would be no better
off. The Mitchell's would like to retain lake rights.
Edmundson pointed out that the Mitchells have already given a 33 1/2
road easement in the front of their home, while the property across
the street only gave a 16 1/2 foot easement. Edmunson also stated
that the cul -de -sac on the north property line would be of no benefit
to Mrs. Mitchell.
DeLonais pointed out that the easement would provide access to
the back of the Mitchell property. Edmundson felt this matter
should be addressed when Mrs. Mitchell sells this property.
Mrs. Timmons pointed out that this was discussed when Mr. Klidzejs
divided his property and the City did not have the right to obtain
the easement from Mitchell at that time. Now the City has this
opportunity.
Mr. Edmundson pointed out that Mrs. Mitchell has already given
16 1/2 feet of easement in this area and there is nearly 50 feet
of easement there already.
Timmons asked if the Mitchell property would be assessed if this
road were put in. The Planner was not sure.
Page -8-
