846 Westwind Drive
Little Canada, MN 55109
May 19, 1986
Little Canada City Council
City Hall
Little Canada, MN 55109
Little Canada City Council,
I attended the public hearing, regarding storm sewer improvement projects,
on the evening of May 13, 1986, I have read the minutes for that meeting.
Many comments made by attendees were recorded. I would like the record to
note comments I made at that meeting regarding proposed changes to ditch
7A:
I identified myself as a resident on Westwind Drive on a lot
adjacent to ditch 7A. I objected to plans to fill in the ditch and pipe
the water. 1 said we chose our lot because of the ditch and consider
it a "feature." I stated I was concerned about the inadequate
drainage in our area but felt an appropriate solution would be to
enforce correction of drainage problems Introduced by some
residents on Arcade, between Westwind and LaBore, who
inappropriately filled in sections of the ditch.
Please accept the above statement as an amendment to the official minutes
for the meeting of 5/13/86.
Also, I believe the "100 -year rain ", Mayor Fahey referred to at the start of
the meeting, fell on May 7, 1984 and not in September of 1984 as stated,
Sincerely,
nc
Barbara J. Proehl
cc Kathleen Glanzer, Recording Secretary for Council
Don Carley, City Engineer
45
