MINUTES
Planning Commission
June 12, 1936
Economic
Development
Districts
(Cont.)
Bingo &
Pulltab
Donations
Boathouses
Adjourn
Mrs. Timmons recommended approval of the Tax Increment Financing
Economic Development Districts as proposed.
Motion seconded by Mr. Perlinger.
Motion carried 7 - 0.
Mr. Costa indicated that it was his feeling that any money donated
to the City from bingo or pulltab operations should go to decrease
the burden on the taxpayer. For example, if the City allocates that
money to its recreation program, the Recreation Budget should be
decreased accordingly.
Timmons and DeLonais agreed.
The Planner informed the Commission that there may be a request
coming in for a boathouse on Lake Gervais. The City's Shoreland
Ordinance expressly omits boathouses.
DeLonais pointed out that the City stopped construction on a screen -
house on the lake in the past and based on this precedent, a boat-
house would have to be denied.
The Planner pointed out that an accessory building on the lake
would have to meet a 50 foot setback from the lake and this is
impossible on some of the small parcels of property on the lake.
r. Herkenhoff recommended that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Mr. Perlinger.
Motion carried 7 - 0.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:29 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
kathleen Glanzer' o2
Recording Secretary
Pace -f-
