S H-OU L-19 I N CLUDE �Z <br />3-- Wl4EEL5s Ofti71AD <br />ORDINANCE NO. 127 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING IN ITS ENTIRETY THE <br />LITTLE CANADA CODE, CHAPTER 1204, REGULATING <br />AND CONTROLLING THE USE OF SNOWMOBILES. <br />THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. That the Municipal Code of Little Canada, Chapter 1204, <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"1204. SNOWMOBILES. <br />1204.010. INCORPORATION. Any person operating a snowmobile in the <br />City of Little Canada, unless provided otherwise herein, shall be subject to <br />the provisions of Section 84.81 to 84.90, inclusive, Minnesota Statutes 1974, <br />as amended, and to the Regulations of the Commissioner of Natural Resources <br />N.R. 51 to 59, inclusive, which are incorporated herein by reference. <br />1204.020. LIMITATION OF OPERATION. No person shall operate a snow- <br />mobile in the City of Little Canada, except on public trails, waterways and <br />streets and highways specifically designated for such use, or on private <br />property where lawful permission has been obtained from the property owner, <br />occupant or lessee. <br />1204.030. HOURS OF OPERATION. No person shall operate a snowmobile in <br />the City of Little Canada, between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., <br />prevailing time in Ramsey County, Sunday through Thursday, and from 1:00 a.m, <br />to 7 :00 a.m. on other days, including the day preceding a national holiday. <br />1204.040, SPEED, No person shall operate a snowmobile in the City of <br />Little Canada, at a speed in excess of limits specifically posted for such use <br />or at a speed in excess of 15 miles per hour within 150 feet of any fisherman, <br />fish house, pedestrian, skier, °skater, skating rink, sliding area, ski tow area <br />or other area where such operation would conflict with or endanger other persons <br />or property. <br />1204.050. TOW BARS. No person shall operate a snowmobile so as to tow any <br />person, sled or other conveyance except by the use of a rigid tow bar attached <br />to the rear of such snowmobile. Disabled snowmobiles shall be exempt. <br />1204.060. MANDATORY LIGIITS. No person shall operate a snowmobile unless <br />such vehicle is equipped with a head light and tail light that are illuminated <br />at all times during such operation. Snowmobiles equipped with an engine of <br />five (5) horsepower or less shall be exempt. <br />24 <br />
