1204.070 MANDATORY PENNANT. No person shall operate a snowmobile <br />unless such vehicle is equipped with a red or orange blaze pennant flag of <br />at least forty (40) square inches in area and displayed at a height of not <br />less than five (5) feet above the treadway. <br />1204.080. GENERAL RESTRICTIONS. Except as herein specifically <br />permitted and authorized, it is unlawful for any person to operate a snowmobile <br />within the limits of the City of Little Canada: <br />1. On the portion of any right of way of any street, except the <br />most right -hand lane then available for traffic or as close as <br />practicable to the right -hand curb or edge of the roadway, <br />except when overtaking and passing another vehicle stopped in <br />that lane or proceeding in the same direction. Snowmobiles may <br />also be operated upon the outside slope of trunk, county state - <br />aid and county highways where such highways are so configured <br />within the corporate limits. <br />2. On a public sidewalk provided for pedestrian travel. <br />3. On boulevards within any public right of way. <br />4. Upon any school grounds except as permission is expressly <br />obtained from responsible school authorities. <br />5. On any other public place or grounds except as may be specifi- <br />cally permitted by other provisions of the City ordinances. <br />6. On streets as permitted by this ordinance at a speed exceeding <br />ten (10) miles per hour. <br />1204.090. LAKESIIORE RESTRICTIONS. No person shall operate a snowmobile <br />within 150 feet of a residential shoreline on sanctioned lakes in Little Canada <br />except at a speed of ten (10) miles per hour or less for purposes of access to <br />and egress from the lake, or for the purpose of parking such vehicles near the <br />shoreline. <br />1204.100. PENALTIES. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions <br />of this ordinance, Minnesota Statutes 84.81 to 84.90, or the Regulations of the <br />Commissioner of Natural Resources N.R. 51 to 59, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor <br />and be punished by a fine of not more than $300.00_or by imprisonment for not <br />more than 90 days, or both, • <br />1204.110. REPEAL. This ordinance upon promulgation repeals all <br />pre - existing regulations in force, except that such regulations shall be deemed <br />to be in force for the purpose of perfecting any right vested, accrued or arising <br />therefrom. <br />1204.120.
