MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
March 13, 1986
Kath been done in this area. Timmons pointed out that the people on
Property the end of Morrison are concerned about drainage.
Division
(Cont.) Kath agreed that the neighbors are concerned about drainage, but
do not oppose this property division.
The Planner reported that the drainage problem in the Morrison area
is included in the Engineer's storm water drainage plan.
Timmons stated that she would feel more comfortable acting on this
proposal if she had an Engineer's report. Timmons pointed out that
the lots Mr. Kath would be creating are absolute minimum lots.
Davison stated that the Engineer would have considered the drainage
problem in the area when acting on Mr. Kath's fill permit, and the
effect the filling would have on local properties.
Timmons felt there should be more control and policing in the area
of fill permits.
Timmons pointed out that Kath originally requested four lots and now
is coming in for a fifth. Timmons questioned whether or not there
were two buildable lots.
Kath stated that filling the lots will not alter the drainage of the
area.
The Planner reported that the Engineer will look at the proposal.
Timmons questioned whether the lots size was consistent with the size
lots in the neighborhood.
Kath reported that the houses that would be built would have walk -out
basements.
The Planner reported that he has recommended approval of the property
division. The lots meet ordinance and the Engineer will review the
drainage.
Mr. Costa pointed out that one lot would have over 13,000 square feet
and the other over 12,000 square feet.
Mr. Davison commented that the Engineer has the drainage expertise
and this will be his responsibility. Davison did not feel there was
reason to hold the request up for a month pending a report from the
Engineer.
Mr. DeLonais recommended approval of the Frank Kath property
division as presented subject to adequate drainage and utility
easements being provided and subject to the recommendations of
the City Engineer and Attorney and Planner.
Motion seconded by.Mr. Perlinger.
Motion carried 5 - 1. Mrs. Timmons was opposed.
Pane -2-
