Planning Commission <br />Anril 10, lne. <br />Sophie Pi Costa pointed out by not having the road no through, it is a confusing <br />Peterson situation for emergency vehicles trvino to net into the area. Costa <br />Plat (Cont.) pointed out that the Goff property is only about three blocks away <br />from this plat. <br />DeLonais asked if it would still be possible to have the trail system <br />if the road went through. The Planner replied that it would be. <br />Davison asked who would he asked to pay for the additional cost of <br />the road going through. The Planner stated that he would imagine the <br />plat would be. <br />Costa stated that he felt that the Park °orinission should investigate <br />putting the hallfield on the Goff property. The Planner pointer out <br />that the property would have to be 300 feet wide at least for a <br />hallfield, and the Goff property is not wide enough. <br />The planner stated that the development that is 'before the Commission <br />is what the Council asked for the last time a plat was proposed for <br />this area. <br />The developer stated that he is happy with the plat as proposer, and <br />does not want the road to no through as it would add a great deal of <br />cost to the plat. <br />r. 31esener reported that Public Yorks is concerned about snowplowing <br />and if the road does not no through, it will have two cul -de -sacs to <br />plow. The last tine this plat was before the Council, the Council <br />wanted the road to no through on the south. People on Payne Avenue <br />were worried about additional traffic on their street, if there was <br />not this southern access to La?ore Road. <br />1r. Herkenhoff asked if the Council hsas considered the halllfield to <br />be located on the Goff proposal. Mr. B1esener replied that this <br />proposal has not been before the Council yet. <br />The Planner stated that Yr. Goff does not have the width necessary <br />for a ballfield and the triangular niece of property he would <br />dedicate for park does not have frontage on a public right -of -way. <br />The Planner felt that as a condition of the prelininary plat, Allen <br />Avenue should no through. The Planner felt that the road system <br />in the area should he completed. The Planner then stated that this <br />should not be made a condition of the plat, but should be mentioned <br />in any approval of the plat. <br />'Th.
