City Council
Frattalone
& County
Road C
Clean -Up
Agenda
Item No. 13
Inspecting
Agenda
Addition
Minnesota
Mini
Storage
Agenda
Item `lo. 11
Mr. Frank Frattalone reported that he met with the Building Inspector on
Friday regarding the clean -up of his property on County Road C. More
of the property has been cleaned up. There are still some cars on the
property that are owned by one of Mr. Frattalone's tenants. Frattalone
stated that the Building Inspector was going to check this out and get
back to him.
Mrs. Scalze pointed out that major auto repair is not allowed in this
district. Scalze asked if this tenant would be out of the property in
May.
Fahey stated that he had no problem with these cars being on the premises
as long as it is understood that if this is a non - conforming use, the
tenant would be relocated in April of 1936.
Frattalone stated that none of his tenants are licensed by the City.
If they obtain a license, then the Building Inspector will be able to
police their operations. Also, the Building Inspector will be informing
Mr. Frattalone of which businesses are allowable under the current zoning
and which are not.
Fahey felt that the Building Inspector should handle the situation and
if there are any :natters that need Council action, the matter can be
referred back to the Council. Fahey suggested that Mr. Collova keep on
top of the situation.
Mr. Frattalone asked if any of his businesses can stay if the Building
Inspector approves. Fahey replied that the Building Inspector will
work within the Code, and if a business is a permitted use under the
zoning of the property, then it could stay. If a business is a conditional
use, then it would have to come back to the Council for action.
Mr. Frattalone asked if it would be permissible for him to hire Ewald
Biese to do the inspecting on his current project. The City Engineer
is recommending 100% inspecting and Mr. Frattalone stated that he would
like to pay just one inspector rather than two.
The Council was agreeable as long as it is understood that Ewald Biese
would be inspecting on behalf of the City and not Mr. Frattalone.
Mr. 3ruce Hubbard of Minnesota Mini Storage appeared before the Council
requesting the approval of an amendment to his PUD Agreement so that he
can construct additional office 'building. :1r. 'iubbard reported that
Minnesota :lini. Storage recently purchased some adjacent property on
which the office building would be located. The same contractor would
be used and the buildln, would match the existing buildings.
