Sept. 19, 1986
Memo to Council from J. Palacio
May 11, 1983 - Council minutes - Agenda # 5.
a) Inspection report was reported.
b) Question on salability of building.
c) No building permit, no inspection.
d) Temporary structure or three - season porch -frost footing would still
be required.
e) City Council to put owner on notice by sending him a letter, stating
that the temporary structure does not meet code, no legal footing
and that the City Council will require footings to be installed.
May 19, 1983 - Letter to Mr. Bode.
Letter stated that as long as the building remained in its temporary
occupancy, the City Council would not require footings. However, in the
event the building would change occupancy or use, proper footings would
then be required.
On or about 7 -7 -86, a Mr. Craig Witlich (a realtor) called the office and
asked about the building, and what would be required if the building were
to be sold. A few other inquires were made. I ask Mr. Chlebeck about this
property and he showed me the file regarding this property. I then reviewed
the file and Joe and I reviewed the problem with the footings. I suggested
to Joe that we should get a third party to review the problems with the foot-
ings of which would be a Soil Engineer. We then made Mr. Bode aware of our
decision and informed his realtors that we would be requiring a soil engineer
report on this building and the type of soil supporting the structure.
Sept. 16, 1986 -Soil report by Advance Sury.eying and Engineering Co.
They have completed their investigation and have found that the soil
is suitable for the support of the addition.
1 L
