MI "UTES <br />Planning Commission <br />Sept. 11, 1225 <br />Best Auto <br />Center <br />Accessory <br />Building <br />Setbacks <br />The Planner reported that the City received a proposal for a <br />development by Rest Auto Center in the Centerville Road Area <br />on Tuesday. The applicant is requesting that the Commission <br />consider this request even though the Planning Commission has <br />just received the Planner's report. <br />The Planner reported that the site plan has a number of deficiencies, <br />some of those being inadequate parking spaces, no designated loading <br />area, lack of designated curbing and landscaping. <br />Mr. Costa suggested that the applicant come in with a proper site <br />plan. <br />The applicant, Jim Burton, reported that his builder is working on <br />the site plan and it should be ready shortly. Burton requested that <br />the Commission take action and not delay the project for another <br />month. <br />Mr. DeLonais suggested that the Commission could make the project <br />contingent upon the Planner's recommendations. <br />Davison commented that the Commission wants to make sure the <br />applicant is aware of the City's ordinances. <br />Mr. DeLonais recommended approval of the Best Auto Center development <br />proposal subject to compliance with the recommendations of the City <br />Planner. <br />Motion seconded by Mr. Perlinger. <br />Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />It was the concensus of the Commission to leave the matter of <br />accessory building setbacks tabled as the Commission has received <br />no further information on this matter as was requested at the <br />last Planning Commission meeting. <br />Drainage Mr. John Lund, 2625 Edgerton, appeared before the Commission on the <br />Problem drainage problem in the front of his property. Lund reported that <br />On the storm sewer system was extended and he now has a drain in the <br />Edgerton middle of his front yard. <br />Lund reported that there was always a drainage problem in this <br />area, however, when his lot was improved, it prevented water <br />from running across the property. <br />Lund reported that his builder has indicated that the house was <br />built according to City Code and, therefore, does not feel that <br />the drainage problem is their responsibility. <br />Page -3- <br />
