MINUTES
City Council
3 July 28, 1982
Neamy Mrs. Scalze asked if any property has been dedicated for the road.
Property The City Clerk replied that no property has been dedicated as the
Division street is just proposed.
(Cont.)
Mr. Hanson stated that the lot size requirements are met in the
proposal. Mrs. Scalze asked if there was a difference in the
front footage needed for a corner lot versus another lot. Mr.
Hanson replied only in the square footage requirement.
Mrs. Nardini pointed out that the City Code requires 80 feet of frontage
on a corner lot. Mr. Forsberg stated that Lot B is not a corner lot.
Mr. Hanson commented that he felt if the road ever went in all the
property for it would have to come from the lots on Edgerton. Mr.
Forsberg agreed, and pointed out that the people on Vanderbee would
not he able to develop their property any further.
Mr. Forsberg stated that if a house was built on Lot B it should be
kept to the west side of the property.
Mr. Ranson stated that it is just a proposed thoroughfare plan for
the area.
Mrs. Nardini stated that she felt: the matter should go to the planner.
Mr. Fahey disagreed and stated that he did not want to see Mrs. Neamy
have to pay those fees.
Mrs. Scalze stated that she felt, the plan should be reworked with 80 feet
of frontage on the corner lots.
Mr. Hanson commented that he feels the road will never go through.
Mrs. Donovan asked if the house to be built on Lot A could face
Vanderbee. Mr. Fahey replied that the City requires a 30 foot front
yard setback and a 30 fcot rear yard setback. Therefore, the house
could not face Vanderbee.
Mrs. Scalze suggested that the City only require a 20 foot road
easement from Mrs. Neamy and tLi.s would give her an additional five
feet.
Mr.Fahey stated that Lot A must have at least 80 feet of frontage
and the house must face LaBore Road.
Mrs. Neamy indicated that she would not go along with her property
line only being 5.5 feet from ber house.
Mrs. Scalze pointed out that in 1979 the City was looking for 33 feet
of easement and now that has been reduced down to 20 feet.
Page —9—
