MINUTES <br />City Council <br />July 28, 1982 <br />R & S Road <br />(Cont.) <br />Husnick <br />Matter <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 7 <br />Neamy <br />Property <br />v Division <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 8 <br />Mr. Forsberg suggested that perhaps future development of this <br />property is out of the question. <br />Fahey stated that the City does not want to spend tax dollars <br />to benefit one property owner. <br />The Engineer stated that he is not sure the Water Department will <br />go along with the City putting a road on their property. Mr. Dohr <br />replied that they have indicated that it is worth pursuing. <br />Mrs. Scalze asked how far the retaining wall extended from the <br />building. Mr. Dohr replied five feet. <br />Mr. Hanson suggested that the Engineer contact the Water Department <br />on the matter. Mrs. Nardini commented that this was O.K. with <br />her if it was done briefly and inexpensively. <br />The Engineer stated that he would make a phone call on it in the <br />morning. <br />Mrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82 -7 -374 — TABLING THE R & S <br />ROAD PROPOSAL UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THE CITY ENGINEER <br />CAN CONTACT'THE ST. PAUL WATER DEPARTMENT REGARDING <br />A POSSIBLE EASEMENT FOR THE ROAD PROPOSED BY R & S <br />The foregoing resolution was \duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5)'Nardini, Sealze, Hanson, Fahey, Forsberg. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution /ppears in Resolution Book No. 8, Page 324. <br />Mrs. Nardi i commented that Mr. Husnick will appear at the August <br />11 Counc meeting on the emergency exit for the North Star Estates <br />Mobileh me Park. <br />Mr. Hanson informed the Council that in 1979 the Council approved <br />the concept of a division of the Neamy property. There is a <br />proposed thoroughfare plan for the area that would effect this <br />property on its eastern boundary. Mr. Hanson indicated that there <br />was no question as to the size of the lots proposed by Mrs. Neamy. <br />Under the proposal the area would be within six inches of the <br />required 25 feet needed for a road easement. <br />Page —8— <br />'K.. 5 <br />
