MINUTES City Council July 28, 1982 R & S Road (Cont.) Husnick Matter Agenda Item No. 7 Neamy Property v Division Agenda Item No. 8 Mr. Forsberg suggested that perhaps future development of this property is out of the question. Fahey stated that the City does not want to spend tax dollars to benefit one property owner. The Engineer stated that he is not sure the Water Department will go along with the City putting a road on their property. Mr. Dohr replied that they have indicated that it is worth pursuing. Mrs. Scalze asked how far the retaining wall extended from the building. Mr. Dohr replied five feet. Mr. Hanson suggested that the Engineer contact the Water Department on the matter. Mrs. Nardini commented that this was O.K. with her if it was done briefly and inexpensively. The Engineer stated that he would make a phone call on it in the morning. Mrs. Nardini introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 82 -7 -374 — TABLING THE R & S ROAD PROPOSAL UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THE CITY ENGINEER CAN CONTACT'THE ST. PAUL WATER DEPARTMENT REGARDING A POSSIBLE EASEMENT FOR THE ROAD PROPOSED BY R & S The foregoing resolution was \duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. Ayes (5)'Nardini, Sealze, Hanson, Fahey, Forsberg. Nayes (0). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution /ppears in Resolution Book No. 8, Page 324. Mrs. Nardi i commented that Mr. Husnick will appear at the August 11 Counc meeting on the emergency exit for the North Star Estates Mobileh me Park. Mr. Hanson informed the Council that in 1979 the Council approved the concept of a division of the Neamy property. There is a proposed thoroughfare plan for the area that would effect this property on its eastern boundary. Mr. Hanson indicated that there was no question as to the size of the lots proposed by Mrs. Neamy. Under the proposal the area would be within six inches of the required 25 feet needed for a road easement. Page —8— 'K.. 5
