11INNTSS
Planning Commission
November 13, 1986
MN Cellular
Telephone
Company
(Cont.)
Sophie/
Peterson
Final Plat
DeLonais pointed out that a puhlic hearing on this proposal will
be held on November 26.
Mr. DeLonais recommended that action on the Cellular One request
for text amendment and conditional use permit be tabled pending
receipt of a detailed site plan for this proposal as well as a site
plan for the Donovan Construction building addition proposal as well
as giving the Planning Commission an opportunity to look at the
location of other similar towers. DeLonais further recommended
that the Cellular One request be tied to the final resolution of
the road issue in the Woodlyn Avenue area as the Planning Commission
is not comfortable with further development in the area until the
road problem is resolved, and in the meantime, the Planning Commission
suggests that the gravel road be installed.
Motion seconded by Mr. Herkenhoff.
Motion carried 6 - O.
Timmons commented that the Planning Commission agrees with the
Cellular One proposal as this is something that is needed, and
suggested that the City expedite the road issue so that the Cellular
One proposal can happen. Timmons agreed that the need was there,
and that the proposal will benefit people doing business in the
area. Timmons felt that the City should put some time limit on
the Timmons arroadnthat wasvJOr':<
first discussed years ago has not been developed.
•
Davison pointed out that the property owners in the area are aware
of the moratorium.
Mr. Carl McKee appeared before the Commission and requested final
plat approval of the Sophie /Peterson plat.
The Planner reported that the plat is identical to the preliminary
plat which was approved.
McKee reported that the City Engineer has reviewed and approved
the plat and that the plat has been approved by the County Surveyor.
Mrs. Timmons recommended approval of the Sophie /Peterson final
plat.
Motion seconded by Mr. Perlinger.
Motion carried 6 - 0.
Page -9-
